AS Roma (4) 3 – 0 (4) Barcelona – What a performance by Roma, stunning comeback to secure their place in the Champions League semi-finals. Roma became only the third team in Champions League history to overturn a deficit of three goals or more.

Roma pulled off a sensational second-leg comeback to beat Barcelona 3-0 and reach the Champions League semi-finals on away goals. Barca were heavy favourites to progress after a 4-1 first-leg win, but fell apart to Roma’s brilliant showing.

Defender Kostas Manolas scored the crucial goal, heading in at the near post with seven minutes remaining. Edin Dzeko scored early to give Roma hope and Daniele de Rossi added a second-half penalty.

Barcelona goalkeeper Marc Andre ter-Stegen gets a hand to it, but the strike is too powerful. Roma back within a goal now! After Gerard Pique drags down Edin Dzeko in the box and the referee points to the spot.
  3. 83′ 3 – 0 Kostas Manolas makes it three-nil as Roma are lead Barcelona 3-0 on night 4-4 aggregate, the Italians going through on away goals. What a comeback! Unbelievable by Roma as they complete the unlikeliest of comebacks. Kostas Manolas flicks a brilliant header in at the far post from a corner and Roma are going through on away goals as things stand. Deservedly so too as well. What a performance by the Serie A side.
