Paris Saint-Germain 2 – 1 Angers | French Ligue 1 – Match Highlights
- 12′ 1 – 0 Kylian Mbappé scores and PSG take the lead! Draxler is left in acres of space just inside the Angers half of the pitch and quickly sends a wonderful lofted pass up to Mbappe, who darts into the box and beats Butelle with a lovely side-footed finish. That was a great piece of play from Draxler, who put the ball on a plate for Mbappe, but Angers will be frustrated with how they didn’t put enough pressure on the German.
- 16′ 1 – 0 [Red Card] Thiago Motta is sent off! PSG are down to 10 men! Thomas goes to ground as he tries to win the ball from Motta, but he’s caught by a follow-through from the PSG midfielder that leaves him with a nasty cut on his chest. There’s a long break in play as the Angers man receives medical treatment, and the referee eventually shows Motta a red card for what he believes was a deliberate stamp.
- 25′ 2 – 0 Kylian Mbappé doubles, It’s another for Mbappe! Silva sends an excellent lofted pass over the Angers defence and straight to Kurzawa, who easily gets the better of Manceau as he latches onto the ball. The full-back then pokes it back to Mbappe, who is in a pocket of space and comfortably finds the bottom right-hand corner of the net with his first-time shot. That was a great run and pass from Kurzawa, but once again Angers didn’t do well enough defensively and were made to pay for sloppy marker.
- 75′ 2 – 1 Karl Toko Ekambi scores and Angers have pulled one back! PSG clumsily loses possession and the visitors quickly counter-attack. Tait breaks down the right wing and pokes a clever pass through to Toko Ekambi, who then places a shot under Trapp and into the back of the net. PSG were poor there, but Angers did really well to make the home side pay for their sloppiness. Tait has been one of the visitors’ best players today and deservedly picks up an assist for his efforts.
