Mohamed Salah has credited Liverpool manager
Jurgen Klopp for his incredible goal scoring form this season.
The Egyptian signed for the Reds from Roma over the summer and has since shocked everyone with his goalscoring ability.
Salah scored 15 goals in Serie A last season and 14 before that. Yet incredibly he’s already notched 15 in the Premier League this season.
Salah explained Klopp’s influence.
‘With the boss now I play closer to the goal than I have with any other club,’ he told Sky Sports. ‘I am always in front of the goal and close to it so I can score.’
Salah says the quality of his team-mates has helped him as well.
‘At the beginning when I signed for Liverpool it was a bit different to Rome. But soon I knew what the coach wanted from me and the quality of players makes everything easier for me.
‘From the first day I knew what I wanted to do and I scored goals in the pre-season so I had a good start.’
While Salah’s goalscoring record has shocked everyone, the man himself wasn’t so surprised.
‘Honestly, yes [I expected to score so many goals]. I always say nothing is by luck. You work, you expect more and you will get what you deserve.’
